Strengthening the Army’s Professional Commitment to Combating Sexual Offenses at the Lowest Level with Implementing the Army’s Initiative “This Is My Squad” Students Name Institutional Affiliation
Strengthening the Army’s Professional Commitment to Combating Sexual Offenses at the Lowest Level with Implementing the Army’s Initiative “This Is My Squad” Every leader has a role of encouraging and ensuring that his team meets their set goals and also abide by their core values. As a leader in the army, one has to ensure that the "this is my squad" initiative continues progressing positively. When the ranger regiment and the special forces started working together, there has been a lot of success in combating social crimes. Thus, their professional commitment has to be strengthened for tremendous success. There are various ways that a leader can use to ensure they work together and curb sexual crimes.
A leader should receive a new soldier send to his team well. When a soldier feels accepted by his leader is motivated to deliver his best because he/she doesn't want to spoil the relationship (Zimmerman, Helmus & Posard, 2019). Sexual offenses require a well-motivated group because some victims shy off and choose not to report. Ladies are assaulted mainly by goons in clubs and streets, but they are also afraid since they don't want to be on bad terms. For instance, a motivated team will do research, issue questionnaires, and conduct interviews to find out such crimes. Thus, a good leader should promote unity and a good working environment for sexual offenses to end.
A soldier should be transferred after promotion. Leaders should ensure that this is done because the other team members won't see him/her as the new boss. They will see him/her as they used to; thus, it will be difficult to give orders. Soldiers have to be ordered to at times work at night and at risky places spying to see if sexual crimes like
discipline, and he /she should also ensure that the team members have a personal bond. By doing so, vices like sexual offenses are easy to stop.

SHARP in the Army: a Crucial Initiative for Change
How it works
In our Army today, there is a continuous and vital emphasis on the SHARP (Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention) program, a topic of paramount importance discussed with both seasoned and new soldiers. But why is it that we persistently conduct the same training every quarter, every year, at every unit and location, regardless of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)? The answer lies in the program's critical role in preserving the integrity and reputation of "America's Greatest Fighting Force." The Army is acutely aware of the negative impact that sexual harassment and assault have on its ranks, not only affecting the morale and cohesion of units but also drawing significant public, political, and media scrutiny.
