Personal Philosophy of Success Personal Essay

One of the defining characteristics of man is that he is constantly striving to achieve more and become a success both in his eyes and in the eyes of his community. One of the ways through which human beings increase their likelihood at succeeding is by coming up with success strategies. Harper reveals that a common factor among successful people is that they all possess success strategies which they utilize to turn their dreams and ambitions into a reality.

Considering the fact that I personally intend to become a successful person, I have come up with a personal philosophy of success which shall be composed of various success strategies that I deem as important. In this essay, I shall define the success strategies that I have discovered and which I intend to use in the coming years to achieve success.

One of the success strategies that I have incorporated in my personal philosophy is flexibility. Flexibility entails being open to changing course when it is not possibly to proceed in the current manner or when the current course of action is not producing the desirable results. Rochford goes on to declare that one of the signs of a great person is flexibility.

In my past, I have adopted a rigid stance and acted as though my goals were cast in stone. This has resulted in unnecessary disappointment and failure when it was very apparent that my actions were not achieving results. By adopting this strategy, I can avoid such occurrences since I will at all times realize that things do not always go as I have planned in life and I may be forced to adopt different plans in the course of realizing my goals.

Another strategy that I have come up with is that I need to set my own goals according to my own passions and ambitions and not my family’s. In the past, I have always compared my activities with those of my family members and have in fact used this as the yardstick for measuring how well I was fairing.

With my newly formulated personal philosophy of success, I realize that I have been confining myself and greatly limiting my chances of success by seeking to fill in the mould that has been cast for me by my family. Harper asserts that living one’s passions is more important than pleasing one’s family and friends (1). With this realization, I shall set out to do the best I can for myself regardless of the goals set out for me by others.

Another important strategy that I have included to my personal philosophy is being focused on my future goals. Rochford reveals that one can always impact their future positively by being focused and persistent (9). This is because being focused enables one to work with a single-mindedness that mostly results in success.

While I have always set goals for myself through my life, I realize that I have not been as focused on achieving them. By adopting this philosophy, I am bound to achieve great successes since I shall invest more time and efforts to my work.

The strategies that I have outlined in this paper are the most important among the ones that I intend to use as the road map which will guide me to the immense personal achievements that await me in my future. I have no doubt that my strict application of this personal philosophy of success will keep me on course to a rich and personally fulfilling life.

Success and personal success, success is more than the definition that society has created over the course of the years. being, successful in society is very different than actually being successful in my opinion. success in my, opinion is having the courage, strength and the ability to work hard towards your goals no matter, what. also at the same time being humble and able to appreciate what you have accomplished by, not bragging your success to someone who is lesser than you. when i was young, i always wanted, to drive a brand new land rover and live in a mansion with my husband and kids. i was always, going to have the latest and greatest inventions and wear the best clothing brands. i would make sure, that my kids had everything that they needed and make sure that i.. more content..., i feel that i will be more successful and it will help me be more well rounded if i was able to study, abroad. ultimately after college i want to be able to provide and take care of my own family. i also, want to be someone that my friends, co–workers and anyone around me will be able to count on me, no matter what. after i graduate from endicott and receive my diploma, i will feel that i have taken, the right steps in being able to be one of the most successful. i want to be able to tell my kids about, all the great times i had at endicott and how proud i am to have gone to such an amazing school that, has contributed to my success in so many ways. this will allow me to look back and appreciate the, friends i had made, the experiences i encountered, and the amazing education i received. endicott, will help me succeed professionally in various ways. since endicott is just twenty minutes from, boston and the best hospitals in the area there will be a lot of internships that will be available to, me. when i walk into these internships on my first day, i will be excited for the work force in the, moment and for after my education at endicott. i feel that i will be better prepared for the real world, work force compared to most of the other college students. i will have the knowledge and, experience to succeed in whatever path i choose to take later on in life. for me to be truly successful, in life, i feel that it is when i give my best, and know i have tried my hardest. endicott, get more content on studyhub, examples of personal philosophy essay, personal philosophy "life that has been lost cannot be brought back. that very truth is what shows, us the meaning and value of living" value is both immeasurable and measurable at the same time, meaning it is something you can't put a number on but feel within your mind. value is only, measured truly once the object or person is lost. once something is gone you finally realise how, much that object or person meant to you, which is when the eyes of the community can see the, worth of the person in their life. value is one of the aspects of life that is seemingly uncontrollable,, an emotion only controlled by the eyes of the community. value is an important part of life because, it gives us a purpose to live, it reminds us that there's an end to life and that we are all mortal, it is a, constant thought that never really.. more content..., in basketball it is a "dog–eat–dog" world where you are all fighting for that same spot and the only, way you can move up is by showing your coach value and showing them that you can do things no, one on your team can do. "give me value, show me why you should be on the court and not him", that is what my brother had told me he said "that's what my coach told me and that's the reason you, should work hard during practice" i've been thinking of that ever since, it is one of the main reasons, why my philosophy is like this., in a society driven by youtube, facebook, instagram, etc, you see all these people making a profit, off of what they like doing and you can't help but wonder if you'd ever be that successful or if you, could have an impact like that in the world., within my family my parents told me that they would know they were successful when my brothers, and i had a family of our own that we could support, they want me to successful so that i could give, my children whatever they wanted and raise them with the same morals as, my personal philosophy of education essay, philosophy of education education is the process of learning that can take place anywhere and at, any time. i believe that creativity and activity as well as books and lessons are essential to the, learning process. as a teacher, i hope to instill in the children a sense of knowledge and self–worth, that will remain with them throughout their lives. education is important not only to maintain daily, life, but also to become someone who contributes to society. without education people have no, chance to impact the lives of others in their own community. i want to give the children i teach a, chance to give back to their community and society. although ethics and morals are constantly, being.. more content..., wanting to become a kindergarten teacher, i strongly believe in the value of good elementary, schools. i think the emphasis of the curriculum should be on the four major subjects: language,, math, science, and social studies. the extras, computer, art, music, and physical education, should, be taught as well, but without the strong emphasis. i believe this because i have seen many students, in high schools that cannot recall basic knowledge in the major subjects because either they were not, taught it or it was not emphasized to the extent needed to remember it. in terms of philosophy, i feel, i benefit most from the pragmatic approach to teaching. this approach states that teachers feel the, classroom is a community of learners, not just a teacher standing in front of a group of students. i, believe this is true because it is my opinion that if the teacher is learning and exploring along with, the students, the students are more likely to be involved and interested in what is being taught. i also, believe the strategies of teaching by problem solving and encouraging democratic procedures are the, most profitable in today's society. my beliefs in student involved activities, emphasis of curriculum,, and democratic classroom management are all part of the pragmatic approach. my plans are to, become an early education teacher. preferably pre–kindergarten, kindergarten, or first grade teacher., i will always be a kid, my personal philosophy of coaching, the evolution of my appreciation of the facets of coaching for performance and its place in applied, leadership has been transformative. the initial perspectives shared in my first paper on the personal, significant learning about the practice of coaching, although still pertinent, have been refashioned to, reflect a more coherent and clear understanding of what my leadership style entails along with a, more concrete explanation of how coaching can support and enhance my effectiveness as a leader., this has been influenced by my better understanding of coaching for performance as a way to create, partnerships based on equality and trust that can focus on how to solve problems rather than the, problems themselves., to accomplish this, initially, i.. more content..., my new understanding is that to continually meet members of my organization where they are at, and support their goals (not mine or the organizations), new strategies and perspectives (such as, coaching) are needed. the power to use powerful and provocative questions to help those i work, with gain new perspectives, not only fits my philosophy but i believe enhances the essence of what, servant leadership entails. the coaching role can become a platform where i can serve those i lead, best, by supporting the opportunity to empower and transform themselves in a safe and respectful, my personal philosophy of education "some people make things happen, some watch while things, happen, and some wonder 'what happened' which type of person are you" author unknown. there, have been times in my life in which i have sat back and watched things happen. i often wondered, why they happened. i now realize that it is important to be a leader. effective teachers need to take, charge and make things happen. i am becoming a teacher to make things happen and not sit back, and let them happen as i used to do. this is very important for a teacher to realize. i will take charge, and make wonderful things happen in my classroom. teachers immensely influence children's lives., in my entire school experience i have found that.. more content..., i am attending concord college to further my education. after graduating with an elementary, education degree, i would like to teach in an elementary school in southern west virginia., preferably, i would like to teach in a kindergarten environment. while teaching i plan to further my, career with a master's degree. i would like to be able to reach those children that aren't as fortunate, as others. as a teacher i will not only teach the children, but they in turn, will teach me. education is, one of the most important aspects to the success of the country. it is important for everyone to feel a, part of that success; therefore, i feel strongly about teaching students to succeed. there are five, philosophies of education that make up my personal philosophy. i believe in certain aspects of every, philosophy. perennialism strives above all to develop our capacity to reason. the things of, everlasting importance should be taught to people everywhere. i believe that there should be an, authority figure to guide the students. the aspects of perennialism that i agree with are critical, thinking, problem solving, coaching, discussion, prayer in the classroom, contemplation, and, orderliness. i believe that the children should be led to use strategic thinking skills to solve, problems. moral development is included in the curriculum of perennialism. i believe children today, need to be taught, plan should also include a strategic map of successfully reaching your targets for your personal, surround yourself with good positive, my personal success : my philosophy of success, success can mean different things to different people. the definition of success can change for a, person at different stages of their life. a person's culture, family, friends, experiences, and, environment can be a big influence on defining what success is to that individual. we all hear the, stories of people failing and failing until one day they make it to the top, beat the bad guy or pass the, trial. the story can also go that they got all they desired or raised up from the ashes. all of these, have one thing in common, it is at the end of the story. it's never the beginning or middle. it's always, at the end of the story that the person succeeds in their quest. but why does it have to be at the end, simply, like how there is no good without evil. you can not have succeed without struggling and, failing first. my philosophy of success is simply being content with your life. to me personality, i, still do not know what contentment is to me and that's fine. i can guess it is being independent, with, a job i am passionate about and surrounded by people that truly care about me. success is finding, that point in life that, if things stayed like how they are at this moment then it would be alright. i'm, not saying to stop improving yourself or that after that point nothing bad or better will happen., people should always try to improve themselves and in reality, bad things will always happen at one, point. therefor my philosophy is to work towards that feeling of contentment. it.

Personal Essay: My Personal Philosophy Of Success

My personal philosophy for success is being proud of myself when I look back on my past. I want to be able to see that I have learned and made good choices as I have lived. During this essay, I will discuss the main ideas and supporting details of each key concept, explain why the key concept is important for my success and give an example from my life using the key concept. The five key concepts I chose are Accepting Personal Responsibility, Discovering Self-motivation, Employing Independence, Gaining Self-awareness, and Developing Emotional Intelligence. These five concepts are the most important to me because they are subjects I feel the most need to either improve upon, or ones I believe I am already skilled in. These subjects all tie into my personal philosophy for success, and I’ll first discuss personal responsibility. Personal …show more content…

The basic definition of Interdependence is the mutual reliance between groups. Learning how to respect other people’s differences, whether it be as simple as their sex or as complex as a cultural background, will not only improve connections, but expand the mind to be more accepting. I like to believe that I am an empathetic person, that I try to learn from others as much as possible, but my field of view, while wider due to my orientation and disorders, is still narrow. I catch myself judging based on stereotypes, or saying unkind things, but as I grow older, I find myself wanting to be more accepting, and wanting to build relationships, so I tend to think before I speak more often. I have been working on establishing good relationships with my classmates and my teachers, and there is a big difference in having a more friendly and personal relationship with the people I’m around than not having any relationship at

College Admissions Essay: Becoming Successful

“She’s pregnant!? Are you oblivious? Your life is over… Do you not realize what is going to happen? You MUST drop out and work to feed your family from now on! I thought you were smarter than this.” This type of verbal abuse continued in my brother-in-law’s family, but as buoyant as both my sister, and her boyfriend were at age 17, this only fed fuel to their fire for triumph. In this day of age, many unplanned pregnancies throughout young adults have discouraged their higher hopes and dreams. Many use the excuse “reality knocked me off my feet” or “things happen for a reason”. Who gave you this excuse…? Are you not the artist of your own reality? You can perhaps lash back at me with a higher power as the answer. Well, I am here to prove to

The Pros And Cons Of Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach where it involves the therapist working with the client in activities to re-write self narrative into more positive ones through three phases including a deconstruction phase, a reconstruction phase and a consolidation phase (Lopes et al., 2014). Narrative therapy is widely used but lacks scientific research regarding to its effectiveness which is a strength and limitation in itself (Lopes et al., 2014). Another limitation is that it may not be the best for those with limited cognitive, intellectual and language skills since narrative therapy can entail a lot of retelling stories (Lopes et al., 2014). Despite the limitations, it does have a lot of strengths including that it focuses a lot on

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success Essay

Following the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success has made me the person that I am today. The laws that we have followed have been the Law of Pure Potentiality, the Law of Giving, the Law of Karma or Cause and Effect, the Law of Least Effort, the Law of Intention and Desire, the Law of Detachment, and the Law of Dharma or Purpose in Life. These laws have taught me that success is not a destination it is a journey. They have taught me that true success is the unfolding of the divinity within us. And following these steps has helped me to find success with in myself.

Personal Statement: Using What I Have To Achieve My Goals

Two of my most dominant talents are restorative and achiever. As an individual that is invigorated by the challenge of a sticky situation, I often seek challenges and gain satisfaction from restoring whatever was corrected to functionality (Gallup, 2017). As an achiever, the worth of everyday is measured by the amount of tangible achievement accomplished (Gallup, 2017). The fault in the never-ending drive to accomplish is a constant discontentment (Gallup, 2017).

Definition Essay: Can Success Be Personal?

To define success, should be personal. For everyone, success holds an unconventional meaning. For most people it is merely materialistic comfort, power of wealth, reputation, and allure. I would like to define success, by simply redefining it. Success is a matter of personal standard. To me, success is feeling content. Success is waking up in the morning happy. Success is gratitude. It means having goals. "It is a combination of ignorance and confidence" said Mark Twain. Success requires determination. Fear regret more than failure. When you lack motivation, ask yourself these four questions. Why? Why not? Why not me? Why not now? Success should not exclusively be implied as the future. My plans to be successful are present. How will I be successful

My Personal Goals Essay

As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy-tale like, we tend to see life through a rose-colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.

Success And Failure: Personal Definition Of Success

Angelica Lai – Discussion #3: Success and Failure Post #1: My personal definition of success is knowing and trying your best to achieve your goals. Success is more about the journey then about the results. For example, you know you have tried your hardest, but the result ended the way you did not want to. Personally, as long as you know you did your best it is a success.

The Path To Success Essay

There are several qualities to have to be successful in college. These qualities can range from attending class to going above and beyond what’s expected. Success comes from the journey taken or the path chosen. Success also comes from being prepared. As a student, I must step up to the challenge and find the path to success along the way. Several ways I define success is to uphold academic integrity, have the ability to prioritize, and to motivate myself to stay on top of what needs to be accomplished.

Personal Narrative: My Definition Of Success

My definition of success is happiness. When you have the feeling of fulfillment and greatness on what you have done to get you where you are. All the ups and downs you went through to be on top. Success can be different to everyone. To me success comes in the little things I accomplish that makes me want to dream bigger and have bigger goals to accomplish. When I graduated High school I felt very excited and happy that I completed a chapter of my life. I felt very successful for being able to graduate in 3 years. Starting my next chapter and soaring for my next goal in life. I fulfilled my high school goals in sports by setting new records, placing in the state championship for track & field, and being able to continue on doing what I love

My Philosophy of Life Essay

I can remember as a child always asking myself the “why” questions of life. What is the purpose of life? Why are we here? What is the purpose of life? Why do certain things happen? And is there really a God? I had always kept these questions to myself and eventually pushed them out of my mind altogether. I was raised in a Christian household and you just were not allowed to ask questions of that nature and doubt the faith. The world is the way it is because God made it that way and that is all there is to it. I was really excited to take this class because it would finally give me the opportunity to exercise my personal thoughts and beliefs. Personal Philosophy of Success and Strategies

Success is the individual’s ability to overcome a challenge or task in a particular situation. It is important to note that philosophically, success is a relative term meaning, it ranges from small magnitudes of achievement to considerably larger ones. Nevertheless, it is crucial to relate to certain aspects of principles and strategies that enhance accomplishments. Such standards may help one to adopt goals aimed at achieving great outcomes.

My first philosophy of success is “ constancy to purpose ”, which implies that for one to succeed, remaining focused and emphasizing doing what it takes is paramount. Moreover, I borrow much from experimental physics in which scientists remain relentlessly researching complex equations to provide satisfying solutions to life challenges. This approach resonates with the stipulation of plans and taking action which provides the lead to success.

Another philosophical academic strategy I developed to help in my future career growth and general reasoning is “ by being taught one learns little, but by teaching others an individual becomes an expert ”. This entails several aspects of cognitive learning which ultimately leads to success. The pivotal aspect of this theory emphasizes learning to know, and after gaining the knowledge, expand the acquaintance teaching it to others.

It is eminent to recount that as a peer teacher, one has a strong grip on the content to teach others. This aspect of good command in content sharpens one’s skills to learn in detail to become successful and teach the rest. I relate so much to this concept of life which propel me to learn new life ideas. The other academic strategy that is also important is “ patience coupled with action to create new opportunities”, which I borrowed from an anonymous Russian wise man’s sayings, “we overcome the difficulty, the impossible ones take us a little longer” . These wise sayings inculcate an unwavering spirit to overcome the most difficult tasks in academics and career choices.

It also implies that one must develop an indomitable spirit that is integrated as an unequivocal resolve to undertake a task, no matter how difficult it is. I will apply the three philosophies as my success pillars in school work since they are imperative in academic work as well. Practical life requires much patience and practice, coupled with discipline, focus, and readiness to be criticized. The critics’ can either be positive or negative, whichever side the detractor takes, one should be equipped to stay calm and follow instructions. On the other hand, I will also put a focus on my everyday habits like time management and study plans.

I expect setbacks like slow progress and scarcity of learning resources such as time and money in my academics, nevertheless, striving to give my best is my priority. By starting on a small scale like spending two to three hours to read at my initial states of the strategy implementation. I look forward to remaining persistent and transforming into a more competent person. On top of these strategies, staying religious also plays a vital role in shaping up habits and values. I believe that spiritual morality and dignity are intertwined with success.

Purity and integrity arouse a personal zeal to succeed, which is important in raising self-confidence and esteem. In summary, success is the happiness of individuals and organizations. It is a relative term and requires one to develop concerted efforts to achieve it. As such, planning, time management, extensive research, and viable strategies are the ingredients of both academics and other aspects of success in life.

Extract of sample "Personal Philosophy of Success"

Personal Philosophy of Success Success is the dream of every college student. Success in my perspective is defined by the satisfaction of life. In this situation, an individual would wake up every morning, make an analysis of his/her achievements in his/her life and find them very amazing. Success is not only defined by the wealthy of an individual, nor the material things that he/she owns, but the ability to enjoy the life that one has made. Success is also defined by the achievement of certain set goals.

For an individual to show that he/she has succeeded in an activity, he/she must show the achievement of some set goals. After the accomplishment of all activities in plan, an individual can therefore count success by enjoying all what he/she has accomplished. In order to achieve success, an individual must come up with some strategies and plans. These strategies act as guidelines towards the achievement of success. Education is one of the major keys to success. Getting educated provides us with an opportunity to make critical decisions about our lives.

It helps us to interact with different people and learn from each other. Education, to a great extend helps us, realize, accept and take full responsibilities of our lives (Rohn and Vic 34).My first strategy of success is to accept and take my responsibility in school. The realization of my responsibilities as a college student will become a good channel to my success. There are several activities that require special attentions within the school. Many of the activities performed in school are full determinants of my success.

Reading extensively is my responsibility. This will give me a broader thinking that will enable me to handle difficult situations. It is my responsibility to make adequate preparations for my exams. This includes taking much time to study and revise for my exams. This will enable me to handle assignments with little difficulty and submit them in good time. My second strategy is on time management. In order to be successful in my collage life, I must manage my time properly. In order to achieve this, I will require preparing a timetable for my activities whereby, I will be expected to respond to all activities as directed from my timetable.

This shall ensure that I have minimal or no time to wasted. Every period of time shall be programmed and this will ensure that I perform the right activity at the right time. My timetable shall include the time for performing various activities as well as my times of taking a rest. My third strategy is to discover my self-motivation. My motivation comes from the things I have achieved as well as the things I am yet to achieve. Considering the things that I have successfully accomplished before give me much motivation to feel that I can achieve more.

In view of my dreams, to have a good paying job, is also a great motivation. The course textbook explains much about making a calendar of our short term goals and our long term goals. The accomplishment of the short term goals becomes a good motivating factor towards the accomplishment of the long term goals. Work citedRohn, E J, and Vic Johnson. Personal Philosophy Of Success Essay

Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose, or that’s what Webster's dictionary says. Each person, however, needs to define what his or her own personal philosophy of success is. I see success as having three areas to which strategies can be applied. These three areas are: physical success, social success , and intellectual success. Physical success is possibly the easiest gain some accomplishments. It is simply the waking up to tomorrow. I can make sure that I am staying healthy by simply having regular vision, hearing, and physical checkups. I can also help my body remain healthy and strong by staying physically active at least 30 minutes a day, and finishing my personal fitness merit badge is a step in the right direction. Family members are usually around whether I want them or not, so I may as well learn how to deal with them and make the best of it. That means making sure that I have time to keep up with game night with my dad, that I antagonize my sister a little less, or that I help my mom with chores without being asked. While I can’t choose my family, I can choose my friends, and I tend to look for my friends at the activities that I enjoy the most like Boy Scouts. Making sure that I have time to devote to my friends is important. I need to make sure that I set aside time to hang out and do fun things with them, like making a pizza and game night. Friendship, however, is a two way street and I can’t always expect my friends to do the things that I want to do. Making sure that I do things that my friends are interested in, as well as making sure that I am not always forcing them to do things that they may not want to or that only I find interesting, is an important part in working together and establishing a long-term friendships. Possibly the hardest thing about social success is learning those interpersonal skill of how to work

When you think of success what comes to mind? In sports it’s making it to the pros. In business it’s making your first million. In high school it can be as simple as acing that test you studied for all night. No matter what profession you are in, success is the desired goal.

The Gifts Of The Jews By Thomas Cahill Summary

After reading The Gifts of the Jews by Thomas Cahill, I was able to see how the Jews have truly influenced society today. From the progression of agricultural discoveries to the notion of human freedom, I felt that every idea made an impact one way or another. Of the many gifts that the Jews’ have shared, the one most meaningful to me is the concept of how it is our choice to decide whether or not we are going to allow ourselves to become consumed by the various sufferings in life. We should let these hardships “refine us...and to shape us into a fitting instrument for [God’s] revelation, as he did Moshe.” People should move forward, instead of being stuck in the past.

Success In Chris Mccandless 'A Mystery Of Heroism'

My Accomplishment Of My Eagle Scout Service Project

Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I have been involved with many activities, such as: sports teams, volunteering in my church, and Boy Scouts of America. An accomplishment I experienced and has created a large impact on my life was completing my Eagle Scout Service Project. I have been actively involved with Boy Scouts and the Scouting Program once I turned six. After spending about two-thirds of my life with scouting, I cannot picture my life without it.

Endicott Research Paper

I believe success is one of those terms that has multiple means and to every person asked, a different answer is received. While some people would base being successful in life off of how much money one makes, I would consider myself successful in life if I graduate from college, have a loving family and a steady job. To me success can be defined as achieving a goal that I have previously set and having a result come from various efforts to achieve that goal.  I also believe the real outcome of being successful is happiness. There is short term success which adds up repeatedly and eventually becomes long term success.

An Essay On Outliers By Malcolm Gladwell

Success, a word we hear everyday and live our lives to achieve, but what does it mean to you? Throughout this school year, while exploring success I have learned what success means to me. While your stand may not be acceptable to others, success is when you have found happiness in your position in life, because you know you have given it your all , and have become a person you are happy being. People have a habit of basing their success off of the expectations of others.

Everyone has his or her own interpretation or definition of what they think success is, but in this interpretation, there is always a common goal at the end. That goal is to have a happy and good outcome. Willy Lowman’s definition of success was skewed, and for this, he did not achieve a happy and good outcome like he may have planned.

What It Means To Be Successful

Success is found in all goals that are accomplished no matter how small or large that they are. Being successful doesn 't always mean that one must accomplish goals that are hard. To others it could be marrying the person they love. To be happy with that person for the rest of their life is a big success. Being successful at an educational standpoint would be graduating college with a degree in a future career.

Introduction Miriam-Webster (n.d.) defines success as “the fact of getting or achieving wealth, respect, or fame”. To me success is not money, possessions, or the illusion of happiness. How the world defines success is much different than how I define success. Rick Warren, in his book “Purpose Driven Life” (2002, p.19) says “You could reach all your personal goals, becoming a raving success by the world’s standard, and still miss the purposes for which God created you.”
